The benefits of drinking water for skin-and body-are numerous. It's true! You've heard it many times before... drink lots of water!
Benefits of water:
Enhanced Health
Increase Energy
Bright, clear eyes
A radiant complexion
Many people spend their days in a state of mild dehydration. Consuming far fewer fluids than they should. When your body is properly hydrated you look better and feel better.
How much water should you drink?
The Mayo Clinic suggests using 8x8 as a guideline. 8 glasses of 8 ounces each daily. You may need more. Exercising, hot weather, and heated indoor air all cause your body to lose water.
Consuming lots of fresh fruits and veggies for healthy skin will satisfy some of your body's requirements. A bonus is they are loaded with anti-aging anti-oxidants! So here is to water and healthy skin!!

Sunscreen
Shopping for Sunscreen? Here are just a few helpful hints while looking for a sunscreen:
Higher SPF products are not always best. They can be misleading. Some people feel they can stay out in the sun longer, without reapplying with a higher SPF. Stick with an SPF of 30, and reapply often.
Your sunscreen needs to have UVA as well as UVB protection. UVA rays cause premature aging and skin cancer. UVB rays are what causes sunburn. There are now UVC rays.
Sunscreen Sprays are easy to use, but can be harmful to the environment and not safe for you to breath in those particles that are released.
Oxybenzone is an ingredient found in sunscreen that can be associated wiht allergic reactions, so avoid sunscreens with this ingredient.
For the Month of June, I am offering a 20% off discount on Kinerase Pro + Therapy Ultra Light SPF 30 with Kinetin and Zeatin. This protects you against, UVA UVB and UVC rays, as well as preventing signs of aging!

i brows
Eyebrows are the shape of your face!!! Here are some helpful techniques to create that perfect arch and shape to your brows.
1. Never go too thin. That is "not in". Careful with the tweezers!!
2. Color your brows in with Smashbox Brow Tech or Anastasia brow pencil 1-2 shades lighter then your hair color. I have found that these 2 products work the best and stay on all day.
3. Highlight your brow bone for a more defined brow look, with a brow highlighter pencil. Make sure this is blended and apply after your eye shadow.
Please email me for any questions!!

This sexy look seems to never go out of style. It is still Rockin the Runway for this Fall '09 Season! Here are some helpful tips into creating your smoky eye....- Use a silver metalic base from lash line to brow.
- A grey, charchoal, black, or burgundy color works best to contour.
- Blend contour color in the outer corner of eye from lash line to brow bone keeping your eye open.
- Use a clean brush to touch up or blend contour color for a clean finish
- Use black liner to top lid, bottom lid optional if really dark eye.

The Cat Eye

MEOW!!!!! This look is all over the runway for fall. Practice, Practice, Practice is key for this look. Liquid or gel eyeliner works the best. Getting the liner close to lash line so there is no "break" between eye lid and lash line is most important. Swoop up when you reach the corner of the eye, making sure that both eyes are even. To set, use a black shadow with an angled brush over the liner. This look is so chic with no shadow on lid and 2 coats of black mascara. Your eyes will look sexy and sultry!
